Full Job Description

To become legally proficient to qualify as a Solicitor and to deliver an excellent client service using efficient regulatory working practices; this will follow upon successful completion of the Solicitor Qualifying Exams (SQE) with a period of two years of recognised Qualifying Work Experience (QWE) or a 2-year training contract.
Role Objectives

  • Ensure learning is in line with the SRA Practice Skills Standards, and where relevant, that both SQE1 and SQE2 assessments are successfully completed alongside 2 years of QWE prior to qualification within the training contract period.

  • Support key networking events to help raise the profile of the business.

  • Provide marketing support e.g. writing copy and reports, updating literature.

  • Ensure the execution of matters comply with internal policies and procedures to minimise breaches, claims and client dissatisfaction.

  • Ensure compliance with SRA standards to safeguard our clients and support the business in maintaining its Practice Management standards and accreditations.

  • Ensure clients receive accurate, up-to-date legal advice that takes account of their circumstances and represents "value for money".

  • Develop an understanding of how to run own caseload and ensure critical dates are met.

  • Assist the more senior lawyers with routine transactions.

  • Maintain the integrity of data in our case management system, Liberate, by ensuring that it is updated in a timely manner.

  • Undertake legal research both as requested and on own initiative.

  • Ensure that own objectives and Trainee Training Logs are updated in line with the business's practices and policies.
