Full Job Description

  • As a Technical Recruiter, you will be responsible for sourcing, screening, and hiring skilled professionals for office and field-based PAYE roles such as HVAC, Mechanical, Electrical and Construction.

  • Your in-depth knowledge of construction, HVAC, mechanical and/or electrical trades, and specialised skill sets will be instrumental in identifying and attracting top talent to support our organisation's growth and success.

  • Collaborate with hiring managers and department heads to understand staffing needs and develop industry specific recruitment strategies.

  • Utilise a variety of sourcing methods, including job boards, social media, trade associations, referrals, and local community outreach, to identify and attract qualified candidates.

  • Build and maintain a robust pipeline of candidates for industry specific positions, including gas engineers, electricians, plumbers, HVAC technicians, building fabric engineers, and other skilled tradespeople.

  • Conduct thorough screenings, interviews, and assessments to evaluate candidates' technical skills, experience, and fit for specific roles and projects.

  • Develop and maintain relationships with trade schools, vocational training programs, and other educational institutions to source emerging talent and promote career opportunities in the HVAC, mechanical and/or electrical industry.

  • Stay updated on industry trends, regulations, and best practices related to construction and blue- and white-collar recruitment and incorporate relevant insights into recruitment strategies.

  • Provide guidance and support to candidates throughout the recruitment process, including interview preparation, negotiation, and onboarding, to ensure a positive candidate experience.

  • Collaborate with hiring managers, HR colleagues, and other stakeholders to streamline recruitment processes, optimise candidate selection, and meet hiring goals.

  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date candidate records and documentation.

  • Assist with other recruitment-related projects and initiatives as needed.

    Previous experience as a Technical Recruiter with a focus on construction and blue-collar recruitment is required.

  • In-depth knowledge of gas, electric, plumbing, HVAC and/or building fabric trades, skill sets, and industry-specific requirements.

  • Proven track record of sourcing and hiring skilled professionals in the construction industry or similar sector.

  • Strong understanding of regulatory requirements, safety standards, and certifications relevant to gas, electric, plumbing, HVAC and/or building fabric roles.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively engage and influence candidates, hiring managers, and stakeholders.

  • Detail-oriented with excellent organisational and time management skills.

  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and adapt to changing priorities.

  • Relevant certifications (e.g., Certified Construction Industry Recruiter) are a plus.

  • Business Administration, or a related field desirable
