SQL BI Developer - 12 Month FTC

As a key member of our Business Insight Team, you will play a pivotal role in designing and developing the Data Lakehouse and associated data use cases. This hands-on role involves designing the data models and developing complex SQL statements for data transformations.

How will I spend my time in this role?

• Datawarehouse/ Lakehouse design: Develop data models and store structures within the Lakehouse, including a traditional Star Schema data warehouse design;


• Datawarehouse/ Lakehouse SQL Development: Developing complex SQL queries for data transformations within the Lakehouse. This will include queries used to populate fact tables, conformed dimensions, and other analytical models/ tables;


• Advanced analytical data models development: This will include a Financial SQL Model of the business that enables the precise and granular analysis of historical and forecast performance;


• Gather and interpret requirements from management and various stakeholders around the company and propose appropriate delivery solutions that fully implement the business requirements;


• Working closely with Data Engineering and Analytics to deliver data solutions.
  
  Data Modeling: Hands-on experience developing and implementing data models according to best practices. This should include 3NF and, ideally, dimensional modelling (Datawarehouse);


• SQL development: Experience developing databases with experience in table creation, constraints views, stored procs, etc;


• Analytical datastore development: The development of an Analytical datastore to support reporting and business intelligence. This may have taken the form of a Datawarehouse, Datamart, or reporting database.
