Full Job Description

Your main duties will be: To provide specific pre-operative assessment, optimisation and preparation of patients undergoing anaesthesia. This will include arranging investigations, making referrals and organising entry onto appropriate pathways as required. To expertly deliver a wide range of anaesthesia techniques appropriate to the patient, surgery and situation. This will effectively be as an autonomous practicing anaesthetist in accordance with current RCOA guidance. This will be at Ipswich Hospita To deliver other interventions and support that fall under the remit of anaesthetist To participate in a weekend call rota covering trauma. This will be agreed with your clinical lead and attracts a 5% supplement and 1 PA per week to cover 13 weekend days per year To participate in and lead on some governance, audit, risk and educational initiatives within the anaesthetic and Orthopaedic Anaesthetic departments. This will include attending and presenting at departmental governance
