Full Job Description

Cribden House School is an Outstanding special school for 90 primary aged children with Autism or Social, Emotional and Mental Health Difficulties. Many of our children have additional needs eg ASC, Speech and Language, ADHD and other learning difficulties.

Cribden House has expanded in recent years and now needs an additional site supervisor to look after our building and extensive grounds including woodland, forest trails and large lawn. The school comprises a listed (house) building, a converted stable block and a cluster of woodland cabins.

The Governing Body of Cribden House are seeking to appoint a hardworking, enthusiastic person who has practical grounds/gardening/maintenance skills and enjoys working within a friendly and supportive staff team.
Under the general direction of the Lead Site supervisor you will:

  • contribute to the smooth running of the school by carrying out a range of caretaking duties to the agreed quality standards,

  • Provide security and supervision of the site (to act as keyholder) and related equipment.

  • Focus on premises/grounds duties, maintenance and compliance checks.

  • The balance of duties will be determined by the needs of the school.

  • This is a 41 week contract: 39 term time weeks plus 2 weeks of additional hours (allocated where needed during school holiday periods)
    The proposed hours of work are 32.5 hours per week 10.00 – 5pm Monday to Friday however this is negotiable for the right candidate.
    The actual salary is £16,364 - £16,915 (split into 12 equal monthly payments)
