Full Job Description

  • Learn & perform the basic sewing/taping skills for all businesses.

  • Basic maintenance skills to keep sewing machines in proper working order.

  • Hands on approach, handling specialist responsibilities in the Sewing-PVC Department such

  • as sewing, taping, packing, final inspection, sewing machine maintenance & fault finding.
  • The Sewing Machinist: PVC is expected to be able to perform in accordance with Health &

  • Safety Standards.
  • Undertaking training to self-develop skills in the Sewing: PVC


  • Department including training and development of appraisals, communication, structures by setting & maintaining a team
    culture.

  • Functional Skills - Maths and English

  • Level 2 Furniture Manufacturer, Communication skills, IT skills, Attention to detail, Problem solving skills, Presentation skills, Administrative skills, Logical, Team working, GCSE or equivalent Maths/English (Grade 4) Desired

The successful candidate will work towards a Level 2 Furniture Manufacturer qualification., The Hatchbag Company produce tailor made boot protectors to suit your car and lifestyle. With over 400 different models you can choose a boot liner that is designed to perfectly fit the make and model of your vehicle ensuring your boot is kept in showroom condition. Available in a range of colours the boot liners are made with a tough, hardwearing, wipe clean finish and easy fitting velcro straps.

    You could reduce your training time, or finish your apprenticeship faster, if you have relevant prior learning or experience. This could be relevant:
