You will lead on the delivery of impactful and effective internal communication to make sure all colleagues across Sheffield Children's NHS Foundation Trust are informed and engaged with the purpose of Sheffield Children's - to provide healthier futures for children and young people.

Being a brilliant place to work is a key area of focus for Sheffield Children's NHS Foundation Trust and to make this happen, we require a strong communicator, experienced at developing engaging and inclusive internal communications, across different locations through a variety of communication channels.

You will be a strategic communicator with excellent written skills, initiative, drive and tenacity, coupled with stakeholder management experience to liaise with colleagues at all levels.

You'll need to be a creative thinker and excellent project manager with the ability to process highly complex ideas and concepts quickly, turning them into consistent messages that resonate with colleagues. You'll be running projects, events and campaigns to deliver a transformative impact on culture and patient experience.

This role is a key member of a small but dynamic communications team and will take ownership for developing a wide range of relationships across the Trust.

You will line manage a communications officer and be responsible for their on-going development.

Key relationships include the executive leadership team, key corporate functions, including People and Organisational Development colleagues as well as clinical leadership teams to support engagement among medical staff., As we prepare to celebrate our 150th anniversary in 2026, we are looking forward to launching our new helipad supporting our role as a Paediatric Major Trauma Centre; continuing to make developments to improve patient and colleague experience and creating new innovative care models with a focus on communities and population health.

We will also deliver the first National Centre for Child Health Technology, which will be based at the Olympic Legacy Park in Sheffield, which will build on our reputation as a leader in children's health and give us the opportunity for a new site for clinical services.

Sheffield Children's NHS Foundation Trust is driven by a clear purpose - to provide healthier futures for children and young people.

Our work is focused around three strategic aims, which guide us and help us to fulfil our purpose, to provide healthier futures for children and young people. Our three strategic aims are:
1. Outstanding Patient Care

Everyday patients and their families tell us about the kind and compassionate care our nearly 4000 colleagues provide, and how they've been made to feel safe and at home with us.

As well as having enormous pride in what we do, we are a friendly, welcoming and ambitious NHS Trust who are driven every day by our CARE values (Compassion, Accountability, Respect, Excellence) to improve the health of children and young people.

Our commitment to rewarding colleagues is demonstrated through our brilliant reward and benefits offer including; generous annual leave entitlement and pension scheme and access to salary sacrifice schemes such as cycle to work and lease cars.

We are committed to supporting colleagues from different heritages and lifestyles while at work. This is supported through the offer we have in place for flexible working and the three equality network groups we have in place.
