Full Job Description

As our Quality Technologist/Assurance you will report directly to our Quality Assurance Manager. Working as a team of two in our Thames Refinery, you will be the main point of contact for our Production and Packaging teams, working closely together to define best practice and embed quality.

Daily you will build working relationships across the refinery, taking pride and ownership in supporting and advising our teams. Being able to use your strong people skills will help you navigate conflicting priorities and influence good decisions when needed Using your HACCP knowledge and internal audit skills to ensure we are up to date and leading the way in quality across our business. We have a continuous Improvement culture, where active participation is essential, bringing your already gained skills to help us drive food safety and quality systems.

As part of your role, you will;

  • Review daily Quality information and attend operation meetings

  • Complete daily reports with accurate and factual information

  • Incident management, including quick risk assessment of potential quality and/or food safety issues.

  • Corrective and Preventive actions ownership and management

  • Develop and ensure Food Safety work permits are in place for all relevant works

  • Conduct site wide GMP audits and Gemba walks as per schedule.

  • Customer relations management including customer queries and or customer audit findings/Corrective and Preventative actions


  • Due to the nature of this position, we do require you to be onsite at our Thames Refinery in East London, Monday to Friday from 8am - 4pm.

    This role is for a Quality Technologist/Assurance expert who comes from a manufacturing/food and beverage background, with the ability to Champion quality, we are looking for;

  • Experience in a similar factory facing quality role, preferably food and beverage

  • Knowledge of food safety processes and quality systems

  • Exposure to customer interface, either as a supplier to industry or retailers

  • Internal Audit skills

  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written

  • IT Skills - Excel, SharePoint, Redzone and SAP (Desirable)
