Full Job Description

We are seeking an experienced and skilled Painter and Decorator to join our team. As a Painter and Decorator, you will be responsible for enhancing the appearance of various residential and commercial spaces through paint and other decorative techniques. Your attention to detail and precision will be essential in delivering high-quality finishes that meet the expectations of our clients.

Responsibility

  • Prepare surfaces for painting by scraping, sanding, and applying filler and other wall coverings where necessary


  • Mix and match paints and other materials to achieve desired colours and textures


  • Apply paint, varnish, wallpaper, and other finishes using brushes, rollers, and sprayers (spraying not a must)


  • Ensure neat and clean working areas, protecting furniture, floors, and fixtures from paint splatters


  • Repair and seal cracks and holes in walls, ceilings, woodwork prior to applying paint


  • Communicate with clients to determine project requirements


  • Keep track of paint and other supply inventory/ materials

    Minimum 5 years experience required


  • Full UK driving license with own transport ideally a commercial van or a car needed


  • Proven experience as a Painter and Decorator or a similar role


  • In-depth knowledge of various painting techniques and materials


  • Familiarity with colour mixing and matching


  • Ability to understand and interpret project specifications and designs


  • Strong attention to detail and an eye for aesthetics


  • Excellent manual dexterity and physical stamina


  • Effective time management skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team, painting and decorating: 5 years (preferred)

  • Driving Licence (required)

  • Painting and decorating qualifications (preferred)

    £665 a week - Part-time, Full-time, Zero hours contract, Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Zero hours contract


  • Pay: £665.00 per week

    Expected hours: 42.5 per week
