GAP Year Tutor

Salary: Depending on Experience

Location: Cheltenham

This is a permanent, full time vacancy.

Dean Close Pre-Prep School are looking to appoint an enthusiastic and energetic GAP year Tutor to join our supportive and dynamic Pre-Prep team from the end of August 2024, working with all ages in the school, from 2- to 7-year-olds.

The responsibilities for this role include:

  • Assist teaching staff across Early Years and Key Stage 1.

  • Aid staff during PE, Games, swimming sessions, and Forest School activities.

  • Participate in before-school, breaktime, lunchtime and after school supervision, collaborating with colleagues to ensure a safe and orderly environment.

  • Contribute to after-school supervision and club activities, working alongside staff to deliver engaging experiences for pupils.

  • Attend pre-term staff meetings, in-service training sessions, and assist during open days and other school functions as part of the staff team.

  • Foster a positive and supportive atmosphere among colleagues, contributing to the school's educational excellence.


  • This role would be suited to a passionate individual who is currently working with children, particularly those in Early years. This is a term time role, with meals provided during term.
