Job Role Responsibilities

• Carrying out all aspects of personal care - help with getting in and out of bed, washing, bathing, dressing and help going to the toilet.


• Assisting and administering medication - with appropriate training.


• Accurate and detailed record keeping whilst ensuring both staff and patient confidentiality.


• Maintaining great communication within the home, a vital part of what helps us to deliver the best standard of care possible.


• To confidently speak with family members, friends and professional bodies with the resident's needs as a first priority.


• Working as part of a team and on your own initiative.


• To act as an ambassador for the home.
  
  First and foremost, you need to be a friendly, caring and patient person who has the desire to help people.


• Experience preferred, however not essential.
  
  To be up to date on, and follow, the relevant procedures contained in the Home's Policies and Procedures file as they affect your job and its responsibilities. It is the Care Support's responsibility to ask questions and to highlight any perceived gaps or weaknesses in your own ability, skills or knowledge.
