Full Job Description

We are seeking to appoint a highly organised, experienced administrator to join a very busy and dynamic Admissions Office, delivering a central service to support the University's Faculties in meeting their targets, to recruit the best qualified students to the University.

To be successful in this role, you will need good organisational and administrative skills. You will need to be able to work flexibly under pressure and to tight deadlines, as well as have previous experience of delivering excellent customer services. Ideally we would prefer someone who has experience of using a large database system, especially for data entry, and the ability to follow complex sets of procedures. In addition you will need to demonstrate excellent interpersonal skills to communicate effectively with colleagues and applicants. An understanding of admissions processes, with some knowledge of either UK or international qualifications would be an advantage. However, full training will be provided to suitable applicants who do not have a background in Admissions.

The Admissions office is currently operating a hybrid approach to work with a combination of office and home based working; the majority of which is currently based at home but with the expectation that you can regularly work in the office as required.
Please ensure you read the Job Description and Person Specification for full details of this role.
