Gloucestershire Professional Services (GPS) is recruiting a Trainee SEND Assessor to join the Learning Support team based at Gloucestershire College.

As a Trainee SEND Assessor, you will work with learners across the College who have a range of additional learning needs including dyslexia, dyspraxia, dyscalculia, autism or have visual stress conditions. You will enable them to access their curriculum and to achieve and progress whilst at Gloucestershire College.

Following initial assessment, learners will be identified as requiring specific arrangements to fairly access their course curriculum and controlled assessments.

Within this role you will be predominantly responsible for working one-to-one with learners assessing them for access arrangements and completing the required evidence documentation to support this, in accordance with statutory guidance and regulations.

Whilst completing your training, you will have a specific focus on EHCP learners, learners with medical conditions or those that require centred delegated arrangements. Upon completion of the Level 7 Exam Arrangement Assessors qualification, your caseload of students will expand to those that require further testing and investigation.
