Full Job Description

As a Warehouse and Logistics Front Line Manager, you'll have a role that's out of the ordinary, overseeing daily operations while controlling and managing inventory and logistics.

Day-to-day, you'll provides critical warehousing and distribution outputs to our customer, the Royal Navy, in order to maintain its fleet of warships and submarines.

  • Oversee daily operations whilst controlling and managing inventory and logistics.

  • Maintain a safe and healthy work environment by establishing and enforcing standards and procedures and by complying with legal regulations.

  • Train and manage the warehouse team to solve day-to-day operational issues and reach short and long-term performance goals.

  • Undertake and recognise projects for process improvement within the operation.


  • This role is full time 35 hours per week and is based on site at Devonport Royal Dockyard.

    Essential experience of the Warehouse and Logistics Front Line Manager
  • Ability to pro-actively engage with customers and stakeholders.

  • Ability to interpret data to drive business decisions.

  • Someone who supports their team in their personal development journey and promotes learning culture.

  • Good written and verbal communication skills

  • Computer literate and confident in the use of technology and IT systems, including a high degree of knowledge of MS Office.


  • Qualifications for the Warehouse and Logistics Front Line Manager
  • Level 3 qualification in Warehouse and Distribution - Desirable.

  • Member of the Chartered Institute of Logistics & Transport (CILT) UK.
