Full Job Description

StudyLink Tours provides student group travel booking services to Universities and Further Education Colleges. As a StudyLink Account Executive you will be the dedicated travel planner for Universities and Colleges within your customer account portfolio.

You will provide your Lecturers/ College Education Leaders with expert advice and customer service to help them select, plan and deliver travel experiences that enrich their students further/higher education experience, turning their travel dreams into a travel realities by sourcing the best transport, accommodation and visit options needed for a successful student group tour.

A Typical Day…

A typical day normally includes;

  • Building a solid understanding of your Clients' Group travel requirements, steering them towards the most suitable options for their group tour

  • Liaising with internal and external suppliers to source the right accommodation and transport options based on budget/preferred dates

  • Generating quotes, planning itineraries, booking tickets, and advising on other travel services such as Visas, currency, and excursions

  • Proactively contacting existing customers from Universities and Colleges to generate new group travel bookings or obtain repeat bookings

    2 years Telephone based Customer Services / Sales experience

  • Strong organisational skills, being able to effectively manage a portfolio of clients at different stages of the booking process

  • Strong influencing and negotiating skills

  • Ability to quickly identify and resolve issues

  • Strong IT literacy and administration skills with experience of using MS Products (Word, Excel, Outlook, MS Teams)

  • Accuracy and attention to detail

  • Resilience and the ability to work at pace and handle peaks and troughs in both volume and pace of work

  • Grade C (minimum Grade 4) or above in GCSE English and Maths or equivalent qualification / experience


  • You will be automatically offered an interview, if you also have…
  • 12 months previous experience working in a Travel Agency or similar role for a Tour Operator

  • Knowledge of a foreign language (French, German, Italian and Spanish), Customer service: 1 year (preferred)

  • Sales: 1 year (preferred)

  • Administrative: 1 year (preferred)

    Office hours:- our office hours are normally Monday to Friday between 8am and 5.30pm with some on call (out of hours) duties on a rota basis … so limited weekend or evening work, or Bank Holiday working…!
