Full Job Description

If you have a desire to make a difference to children's lives then Bloxwich Academy Primary (recently rated Ofsted 'good' November 2021) could certainly be the place for you. We are seeking to appoint a highly motivated and passionate Teaching Assistant to join our wonderful school in supporting children in our Early Years department to achieve their full potential, including one to one support. We are a caring and friendly school and aim to provide exceptional learning opportunities for all children. We set high expectations for our children both behaviourally and academically, and offer a wide range of creative, inspirational lessons through all areas of the curriculum. Our children are encouraged to become confident, caring and independent and to use their abilities to the full. Our school motto is 'Be The Best You Can Be'.

As part of the role the successful candidate will be expected to:

Assist in the educational and social development of pupils, including delivering specific parts of the curriculum to groups of pupils if required, and assessing pupils' progress and reporting it to the class teacher;

Assist in the implementation of Individual Education Programmes for pupils and help monitor their progress;

Provide support for individual pupils inside and outside the classroom to enable them to fully participate in activities;

Assist class teachers with maintaining student records, including observations and assessments and the ability to prepare and present displays of pupils' work;

Support class teachers in photocopying, laminating, preparing resources and other tasks in order to support teaching.

Qualifications: The successful candidate will need to hold an NVQ Level 2 in Childcare and Education or equivalent qualification and have experience of working with children., A commitment to improving life chances of all pupils.

- The ability to create leaders of the future, in staff and pupils.

Start Date: September 2024 | Starting Salary £19,326.41 - £19,743.81 (FTE £23,753 - £24,266)

Salary ranges dependent on level of relevant qualification held. Please note there is a £1,800 pay award on Matrix Support Staff Pay Scales in April 2024
