Full Job Description

The Senior Customer Category Development will be a leading role with the wider Commercial Teams, to develop and deliver the Category Plan in major multiple customer/s which will enable Samworth Brothers to lead the Category agenda within that (those) customer(s), influencing the customer's behaviours and actions to the shoppers', category's, and Samworth Brothers' benefit,

  • Develop (a) customer category plan(s), to deliver growth in line with the category vision & aims and objectives of both SB Meals & our retail partners

  • Develop clear & compelling actions based on insights from the macro environment, market, retailer, shopper & consumer

  • Own the category management process & point of purchase (POP) metrics for key customer(s) identifying & creating tactical plans to include pricing, promotions, merchandising, space & flow, range & distribution, activation, e-commerce and NPD propositions

  • Practise market leading storytelling by sharing in an engaging way, the latest category performance, trends & insight, with recommendations on how to outperform the market

  • Lead activity from research & concept through to instore activation & customer communication

  • Significant category management experience within a FMCG environment, operating at a manager level

  • Experience interpreting market and consumer insight data (EPOS, Kantar, Mintel etc.)

  • Commercial acumen and the confidence to turn opportunities into sales

  • Experience working with retailer loyalty data

  • Experience in working with major multiple retailer/s
