Full Job Description
We are looking for an experienced Senior Accountant to oversee general accounting operations by controlling and verifying our financial transactions. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounting principles and practices, along with excellent analytical skills and attention to detail. The Senior Accountant will report directly to the Finance Manager and play a key role in ensuring the accuracy and integrity of our financial data.,
- Manage day-to-day accounting activities, including accounts payable/receivable, general ledger entries, and bank reconciliations.
- Prepare and review financial statements, reports, and budgets for accuracy and completeness.
- Ensure compliance with UK accounting regulations and standards.
- Analyse financial data and provide insights to support decision-making processes.
- Assist in the development and implementation of financial policies and procedures.
- Coordinate with internal stakeholders to resolve accounting discrepancies and issues.
- Participate in audits and assist with the preparation of audit schedules and documentation.
- Supervise and mentor junior accounting staff, providing guidance and support as needed.
- Stay updated on changes in accounting regulations and industry best practices.
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field. - ACCA or ACA qualification preferred.
- Proven experience as a Senior Accountant or similar role, preferably in a UK-based organization.
- Strong knowledge of UK GAAP and other accounting standards.
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., SAP, QuickBooks, Xero) and Microsoft Excel.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
