Full Job Description

The Production Supervisor is responsible for the day to day running of the factory and managing the Team Leaders, to drive efficiencies whilst ensuring quality products are produced. The Production Supervisor will ensure the weekly production plan is actioned and that the labour requirements are correct.,

  • To supervise the Team Leaders to ensure the weekly production plan is actioned.

  • Monitoring and reporting on press hall and tank section output and highlighting any notable issues with a view to maximising productivity.

  • Liaise with management team to develop, implement and maintain the training schedule for the Factory.

  • Daily management of the factory including; recruitment and induction, performance, appraisals, disciplinaries etc. working closely with Group HR.

  • Support and assist factory Lean Projects.

  • Support the compliance audit process and any other Quality issues that may arise within the Factory.

  • Communicate daily with the management team; reporting any issues as soon as possible.

  • Conduct daily PIT meetings with the Team Leaders, sharing information on the production plan, quality issues, near miss reporting etc.

  • Routine Quality inspections at press, assembly and drilling; near miss reporting; work with the Senior Production Supervisor & Quality Manager to identify any training requirements and ensure subsequent training plan is implemented.

  • Cyclical stock taking and assisting with the monthly stock take.

  • Provide Holiday/Absence Cover for shift Team Leaders and assist in covering aspects of the Senior Production Supervisor's holidays/absences.

  • Any other tasks reasonably assigned to meet the needs of the business.
