Full Job Description
As a Level 1 Analyst, you'll have a role that's out of the ordinary. You'll be part of a critical team that service our clients to ensure that they adhere to environmental requirements, potentially preventing any unauthorised releases from site.
Day-to-day, you'll assist in the delivery of assigned programmes of work to support the overall delivery of analytical results to time and quality.
- Comply with the laboratory and company policies and procedures in line with quality management systems to support accreditation.
- Work as part of an effective team to support and coach each other to provide a consistent and efficient level of service.
- Assist with the validation of new and existing techniques and equipment prior to use to comply with quality systems accreditation.
- Identify and report issues to maintain and improve operational capability and level of service with an understanding and awareness of efficient operational practices.
- Experience in analytical chemistry.
- Awareness of conventional and radiological safety.
- IT literate.
- Ability to work as part of a team.
- Science GCSEs at grade A to C or equivalent.

This position involves manual work. This could include lifting, bending, using tools or standing for extended periods of time.
This role is full time, 37 hours per week and is based on site in Whitehaven, Cumbria.
