The role is for an Assembly Coordinator/Lead to join our established Team. This is a new role for PCMC and the successful candidate will be expected to both coordinate/lead assembly builds and be heavily involved in the build process to ensure timely and successful completion - the role is mechanically biased.,
- Coordinate and manage daily and on-going assembly activities.
- Work from complex assembly drawings, specifications and instructions to plan work in proper sequences
- Assemble complex sections of machine of various combinations thereof as indicated by customer specifications
- Lead, guide, coach or mentor less experienced team members
- Review and prioritize shortages and report quality issues; communicate concerns and make recommendations for corrective actions
- Collaborate with engineering on design/process opportunities based upon manufacturing needs
- Develop assembly standards and processes based on improvement opportunities or quality/cost concerns
- Assist in unload incoming trucks as directed
- Ensuring parts meet quality requirements - detect defective materials, unusual conditions or operating difficulties and report to wider team describing in accurate detail to ensure proper corrective actions
- Operate materials handling equipment such as forklift, pallet jacks, hand trucks or dollies to move stock or organize storage
- Actively participate in team meetings to communicate and help resolve any cost, quality, or production issues
- Regularly and effectively communicate and interact with other team members
- Maintain equipment and work area in clean and orderly fashion
- Perform all work in accordance with established safety procedures
- Be prepared to undertake other tasks within the business if required
Excellent interpersonal, communication and time management - Demonstrate the ability to work to deadlines and prioritise workload
- Ability to cope with varied responsibilities and work as an individual or as part of a team
- A drive and determination to succeed.
- Be self-sufficient and adaptable.
- Computer skills, being proficient in Microsoft Office packages such as Excel, Word, and Outlook etc.
- Forklift truck licence/experience
- The ability to understand new concepts quickly and a willingness to learn new skills and knowledge
