We currently have an exciting opportunity for a Primary Care Engagement Lead to join our Clinical Practice Research Datalink team in the Safety and Surveillance group.

This is a full- time opportunity, on a fixed term contract basis. The role will be based in 10 South Colonnade, Canary Wharf London, E14 4PU. Please be aware that this role can only be worked in the UK and not overseas.

We are currently operate a flexible, hybrid way of working, with a minimum of 8 days per month working on site to enable the collaboration and contact with partners and stakeholders needed to deliver MHRA business. Attendance on site is driven by business needs so depending on the nature of the role, this can flex up to 12 days a month, with the remainder of time worked either remotely or in the office. Some roles will need to be on site more regularly., The Primary Care Engagement Lead role offers an exciting opportunity to help build on CPRD's 30-years of providing data for drug safety and epidemiological studies, resulting in over 3,500 peer-reviewed publications investigating drug safety, use of medicines, effectiveness of health policy, health care delivery and disease risk factors. The Primary Care Engagement Lead is responsible for incentivising GPs to join the growing network of GP practices working with CPRD, engaging with GPs to raise awareness of the public health benefits and care quality improvements arising from CPRD enabled research. The role also involves inviting and encouraging practices to take part in studies and working as part of study teams; managing campaigns and activities to encourage GPs to take part in clinical research and liaising with the NIHR Clinical Research Network (CRN), as well as clinical research networks in the devolved UK nations.,

  • Oversee the recruitment of GP practices into CPRD's research offerings and manage strategic campaigns and activities

    Talented communicator, comfortable with public speaking and presenting to a range of audiences with the ability to explain complex concepts in plain language.

  • Previous experience of working in primary care or in a role involving regular interactions with Health Care Professional's as well as having sound understanding of the benefits and sensitivities of using patient records in research.

  • Good writing, organisational and administrative skills, with prior experience of drafting reports and documents, monitoring progress against targets and milestones and maintaining up to date files and documentation.

  • Knowledge of the UK primary Care Environment

  • Proactive confident approach and excellent interpersonal skills.
