Full Job Description
We are now looking for a Finance Assistant to provide support to our finance department at our offices in Braintree. Reporting directly into the Finance Director you will be responsible for:
· Project Budget Updates
· Produce Financial Reports
· Process Daily Sales Ledger postings and cash receipts
· Purchase Invoice Processing
· Process General Ledger Journals
· Process Project Ledger Journals
· Bank Reconciliations
· Supplier Statement Reconciliations
· Complete CIS Returns
· Complete VAT Returns
· Prepare Debtor Chaser letters
This role will heavily rely on the use of IT Systems (Excel, Microsoft Business Central, Sage and various Data Imports) and therefore you must be able to demonstrate strong IT literacy. We are ideally looking for someone that has a minimum of 2 years experience working in a finance related role and you must be able to demonstrate accountancy competence (for example with a finance related degree/qualification or A-Level Accountancy).
Should you wish to continue with your professional accounting studies (for example, AAT, ACCA, CIMA) then we will assist with tuition costs and exam fees and allow 3 days additional study leave per year.,
- A-Level or equivalent (preferred), Financial accounting: 2 years (preferred)

This is a full time role of 40 hours per week (Monday - Friday 8am - 5pm with a 1 hour unpaid break).
