Full Job Description

Employment Advisors work alongside therapists to provide holistic employment support for people looking to return to work or to retain their current employment.

The training and induction available will equip the post holder with the necessary knowledge, attitude and capabilities to operate effectively in an inclusive, value driven service.

As many of our patients are employed, the post holder will be required to work one evening per week 12pm to 8pm. They will also need to be a car driver and have access to a car.

Employment in this post requires an Enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check. Applicants who subscribe to the DBS update service are able to present a valid DBS certificate instead of requiring a new check., The Employment Advice Service supports patients with mild to moderate anxiety and/or depression to gain, return to or retain employment. The role will involve working directly with Jobcentre Plus, employers, trade unions and employment agencies to keep people in employment and secure employment opportunities., Employment Advisors provide support to ensure that people get timely access to suitable employment support to remain in, return to and gain employment to avoid long-term unemployment.

Dorset Steps to Wellbeing is a NHS Talking Therapies service which has a successful and supportive Employment Advice Service. The service currently has 1 position available:
