Full Job Description
Due to expansion, we are currently looking to recruit a deputy manager for a residential children's home in Nottingham. This is a great opportunity to join a growing company and to be able to help support and shape the lives of children and young people.
The main purposes of the job includes:
- To assist the manager in achieving the aims and objectives of the Statement of Purpose and the Children's Homes Regulations 2015.
- Effectively support in safeguarding the children and young people within our care.
- To deputise in the absence of the Registered Manager.
- To support and manage the staff to enable them to meet the needs of the children.
- To undertake direct work with Children as appropriate.
- To be the responsible person in managing child protection concerns and complaints.
- To work in partnership with other professionals to achieve optimum outcomes for young people.
- To offer supervision and support to staff in line with Children's Homes Regulations 2015.
The suitable candidate will have NVQ Level 3 in Children and Young People Workforce, or equivalent, and willing to work towards Level 5. It is also a requirement that they hold a full driving licence, due to the nature of the role, and have a minimum of 2 years experience of working in a residential setting with young people with challenging behaviour (EBD) or similar setting (1 year in a supervisory capacity).
Salary is dependant on experience and the hours of work will predominantly be on a rota basis, however, overtime will be available.
