Full Job Description

In your role as Chef Manager at Sodexo at Monteagle Primary School in Dagenham, you will supervise the hospitality team at our esteemed school, making sure that our vibrant meals are served with a smile and that the kitchen and restaurant are operating efficiently. As the person your team looks to for guidance and support, you will have an impact on their day-to-day life and, in turn, create a lively, productive work atmosphere. What you do:

  • Oversee daily kitchen operations, ensuring efficiency and high quality

  • Lead and motivate kitchen staff, providing guidance and support

  • Maintain inventory levels and order supplies as needed

  • Uphold food safety and sanitation standards

  • Collaborate with management to develop and update menus

    Basic IT skills

  • Professionalism, respect for others, and a positive attitude

  • Fundamental food handling abilities

  • Possess prior experience supervising staff.

  • Possess excellent time management abilities

  • Previous experience in large scale cooking preferred however, not essential

    Equated pay (sometimes known as spread-over pay) is a method of paying you for your contracted hours, working weeks and holiday pay spread over 12 months instead of just receiving pay during the months that you work and none during the school closures/non-working weeks. This means that you get paid equal amounts of pay every month. Further information will be supplied at interview stage.
