Full Job Description

We are a family run, friendly cafe based in the beautiful Blackdown Hills. We have a stunning oak framed cafe which we can seat 85 covers inside and many more outside.

We are based on the main A30 from London to Cornwall - We have a great reputation already (check out our reviews)

Our business has two very distinct customer bases. A lot of wonderful local all year around support, and then during our main busy season - travellers on the road wanting to have a quick pitstop before heading on. During the busy season we need quick seasonal deliciously made from scratch lunches - that are easy for the team to replicate and make in good timing for a quick customer visit. A menu which makes our customers want to return on their way home (and to tell their friends)

We make toasted sandwiches, homemade pickles, homemade sauces, seasonal quiches, seasonal salads, seasonal soups, etc..

Plus you get to work with a Gozney wood firedoven at the heart of the kitchen, where we make our own sourdough pizzas from scratch.

Working 5 days a week including a Saturday shifts with no evening service (except for any pop up evenings) or split shifts, and time off at Christmas this role is rare in the hospitality industry.

You will be Working alongside our wonderful kitchen team under the guidance of our fantastic Head Chef.

You must be positive with a can do attitude. Our kicthen gets very busy during the summer season and so you must be hardworking and be extremely organised!
