Full Job Description

  • Managing a team of staff and ensuring that all operations run smoothly

  • Overseeing the day-to-day running of the pub, including food and drink orders, customer service, and events

  • We're looking for a new assistant pub manager to join our busy, fully refurbished city centre wet led venue and help us create a truly special place for our customers to relax, socialize, and have a good time.

    This is for the central Chester area, and you must be comfortable with getting to Harrogate for training and meetings.,
  • Have at least 2 years managed house experience

  • Be highly dynamic and motivated

  • Be passionate about customer service and providing a great experience for everyone who walks through the door

  • Be able to work under pressure and stay calm in a crisis

  • Have a good sense of humour and be able to create a fun and relaxed atmosphere for your team and customers, As you may expect, we have some bare minimum expectations of our candidates, someone who has experience of running a busy hospitality venue is a must, designated licencing official, budgeting and business development skills too, if you hold the level 2 Food Hygiene certificate and an NVQ in hospitality that will definitely stand you in good stead. Above all else though, PERSONALITY, you will be the heartbeat of your pub so need to be the driving force behind the atmosphere and culture!
